The Lichtenberg Museum is not only a museum. As a center for information, culture and education it invites visitors to view, explore and discuss the history and contemporary life in Lichtenberg from various perspectives, according to the motto: Join and find your own (hi-)story.
The museum is always open to change and invites its visitors to be a part in shaping the Museum’s future by becoming active, getting involved and sharing experiences.
The new permanent exhibition that opened in 2021 allows an equal cultural participation. Besides that, temporary special exhibitions and events highlight particular aspects of the District’s history.
The museum owns an extensive archive of documents, testimonials, objects and photos as well as a public reference library.
