About the culture map
By using the digital and interactive culture map, the district Lichtenberg of Berlin visualises the number of cultural places and their distribution within the district itself. In addition to a large number of different cultural institutions, such as museums, memorials, galleries and stages, institutions of cultural education, it also displays theatres, literature and concert events in social spaces or urban areas. It is meant to be a visualisation of the great variety of culture taking place in Lichtenberg.

A further access is possible via type of organisation with the selection of "non-profit institution", "private institution" or "public institution".
A specific search for events and sections is recommended via the menu item events. Here you can select by date (range) or type of event.
Using the menu item tours, you may choose from a wide range of tours.
In order to help users navigating through the map the best possible way, it provides a colour-coded system. All types of institution are displayed in a specific colour.

The culture map Lichtenberg is provided by the Office for Further Education and Culture of the District Authority of Berlin-Lichtenberg. The cultural offers and the variety of cultural places in the district is being visualised and interactively accessible by this online service.
Is there an exciting cultural place missing? Users themselves are welcome to suggest new cultural places as well as still missing places. It can be done via the item suggest a location, which can be found in the menu. Here, everyone may add their own recommendations to the culture map and contribute to the „growing“ culture map.
The digital culture map is intended to develop dynamically. Just as the cultural landscape in the district is constantly changing and becoming more diverse and colourful, the cultural map is meant to expand, too. Together with the users, we would like to further expand the culture map and fill it with content. In doing so, we rely on the commitment and support of the users and cultural actors.
