Archenholdstraße 72

10315 Berlin
The memorial plaque commemorates the Sonnenhof residential complex, which was built in 1925-27 according to plans by architect Erwin Anton Gutkind (*1886 - †1968). The garden layout is based on the work of Gustav Allinger and Karl Foerster. Erwin Gutkind belonged to the avant-garde of New Building in Berlin in the 1920s. With this apartment block he received national and international recognition. The three- to four-story reinforced concrete buildings form a closed block along Archenhold-, Delbrück-, Bietzkestraße and Marie-Curie-Allee. Built into the courtyard is a kindergarten. The glass panel is placed on the left side of the passage wall.
