Die Rote Kapelle (Resistance group)

The memorial honors the resistance group "Die Rote Kapelle" which was one of the largest anti-fascist groups of that time. Through personal contacts, a loose network of seven Berlin circles of friends and resistance formed in 1940/41. They included more than 150 opponents of the regime from various social backgrounds and ideologies, including a large number of women. The memorial stele is installed on the town square opposite Schulze-Boysen-Straße 11.
