The inscription on the memorial plaque commemorates the laying of the foundation stone here by the former Empress and Queen Auguste Victoria, the founder of the church and the parish. The two dark granite plaques are located on the wall of the parish hall standing behind the church, to be found on the left and right of the outside staircase. In addition, a memorial stele also commemorates the Church of the Redeemer as a place of resistance against SED rule directly in front of the property wall to the right of the entrance to the church.
