The 2nd International Berlin Sculpture Symposium took place in the summer of 1987 in the Schlosspark in Berlin Buch. Eight sculptors from Bulgaria, the CSSR, Finland, Poland, Romania, Syria, the USSR and Hungary as well as six artists from the former GDR took part in the symposium.

The motto of the summer workshop was "Poetry of the big city". The artworks were only to be on display in Fennpfuhl for a limited period from 1988.

A total of 11 sculptures still stand in Fennpfuhlpark today, offering an interesting look at the material sandstone and the visual arts of the Eastern European countries of the 1980s.

Unfortunately, all the objects have been damaged by vandalism. The weather conditions are also a "natural enemy" of the material used.
