In the movie the dream couple of screenwriter and temporary resident of Rummelsburg Ulrich Plenzdorf as well as of the director Heiner Carow celebrate their "wild wedding" on a Spree sailboat on Lake Rummelsburg. What could be more natural than to give the shore the name of Paul and Paula.
